KalI Marie Czekaj

This is a dance film that I filmed for my Creative Technologies class. My idea behind this film was to focus on hair and how I could cut from one frame to another and make it look like a seamless transition. I created a short floor phrase to teach to my dancer, Margaret Garland, in which she was able to flip her hair around. A challenge I faced in this assignment was trying to shoot from many different camera angles. I often got stuck in similar camera angles when I was shooting this. From this assignment, I realized that it is possible to turn my choreography into compositional dance film, which is something I hope to explore in the future.
