Fade
This is a piece that I created for my final study in my Composition II class. It is entitled "Fade". This comp study was particularly special to me because it was at the end of my first semester being a transfer student at OSU. Transferring schools in my sophomore year of college was a difficult challenge for me. I had already established a life and relationships with faculty somewhere else and starting somewhere new where everyone already knew each other was intimidating. During this semester, I struggled with many different things. Who I was as a dancer, who I wanted to be in the OSU dance department, and how not to drift into the background in a sea of many other talented students. I choose to make this comp study as an expression of my path and my particular struggle, trying not to fade away.
